Stig is a caveman who lives at the bottom of an old quarry close to Barney's grandmother's house. Barney finds Stig one day when he falls through the roof of Stig's den. They become friends, even though they cannot talk to each other.

Since the quarry is no longer in use, people throw all their rubbish away down there; Stig is good at finding new ways in which to use old things.

On the same day that they cut down an enormous tree (getting warm once in the process) and then use it to start a fire (getting warm for the second time) Stig picks up a piece of charred wood and uses it to draw an amazing hunting scene on the chalk wall of the den.

Then we had a go at using charcoal and chalks to make our own hunting scene. We dusted the paper with charcoal powder and smudged it to give it a greyish background. Then we used charcoal and chalk to make our scene.

"I like the way you did the trees," said Matthew W.jdhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12775085299874824485noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2964068359845292200.post-23221417905683474952008-04-12T15:41:00.003+02:002008-04-16T15:10:14.366+02:00Mapping the schoolWe asked ourselves; how can we show what our school looks like? After taking a walk around the school, we had a go at trying to make a record of everything; from the classrooms to the kitchen, the music room to the French rooms and the library.

Take a look at mine. "The paper size was OK. I started with the top bit (the upstairs). I didn't do the music room but I can point to where it should be. I did arrows because if (sic) you want to go this way or that way. One way goes to Ms. Oakley's room. One way goes to the corridor. I did some outside, like the jungle gym. I missed a few things. It was a bit tricky. It was OK doing it but I didn't exactly like it. Other people could use it to find their way."

How does it compare with the real thing?

jdhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12775085299874824485noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2964068359845292200.post-79900451818112134472008-02-29T13:03:00.004+01:002008-02-29T13:11:07.596+01:00Gold StarInvented by Justin, Matthew and Naoya

Rules: No ripping
Take turns
Do not look under the blindfold

• Put the cards on the table face up
• Put a blindfold on

• Somebody gives you 2 cards
• You feel them

• Say whether you think they’re different or the same
• If you get it right you get a point
• Who gets the most points is the winner.jdhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12775085299874824485noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2964068359845292200.post-51078110622945939522008-01-30T07:16:00.001+01:002008-02-01T22:16:45.673+01:00What is it like?My Spy Watch
I have a spy watch.
